For more than 50 years, Canberra Sand & Gravel (CSG) has been one of the ACT’s most trusted suppliers. Their yards, fleet, and inventory were modern but their digital experience hadn’t kept pace.
Ordering materials still relied heavily on phone calls, handwritten notes, and manual quoting. Staff had to check stock across multiple yards, calculate delivery fees by hand, and coordinate truck allocation based on load type and capacity. Customers often had to call multiple times just to confirm product availability, delivery times, or final pricing.
As demand continued to rise, these manual processes created friction on all sides with customers waiting on quotes, staff juggling information across yards,inconsistencies in how deliveries were communicated, and limited ability to scale during peak periods.
CSG didn’t simply need a website refresh, they needed a digital platform engineered around the real-life logistics of bulk materials delivery.
This became the foundation of the transformation.
